    I have tried for over four months to cancel but it won't until I pay my bill. I have called and called and to no avail. Customer service won't even answer unless I pay a bill for a phone I haven't used since August!     As per the communication with account manager, she told me before 45 days, i can cancel my service at any time and they will waived of my early termination fees. Also she told she has entered comments in my account to waive of my early termination fees if i cancel my account at any time after 30 days of purchase.   • HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!



    The customer service I received through Vonage has been a nightmare. I am a generally calm and friendly person, but the reps at Vonage pushed my blood pressure up and they really almost got a good ol' cussin. I was blown away at how the reps treated me like I didn't have any common sense, made canceling a nightmare, and added extra fees wherever they could. I would definitely NOT recommend them to anyone.   • The prople thast sign you up are liars.



    I told the sales rep I had wireless internet and she said it work with wireless but it doesn't. When I called to complain the guy told me he was going to boost my vonage on his end and then i would have ano issues talking on the phone. He also lied.     Worst service I have ever had. My phone was screwed up, my internet was slower than snail pace and it screwed up my wireless. When I tried to port my number to Comcast, they held my number hostage for a month. Every time I called they would try to convince me to stay and let them fix the problems. They said they would waive the early termination, and tried to charge me at the end.     The Vonage company takes money from the customers without customer authorication. I got this experince recently and once I spoke to several customer care representative to put this concern as I was not willing to continue because of this happening but no one has even tried to retain the customer.     The company i work for opened vontage entrepreneur business account in July 2007, then we cancelled it in Dec 2009.Then we got a statement from them saying we owed them $734.99, so the owner of the company called them in 2009 and thought he had cleared it up!     Vonage turned me over to collections. Here's why: In October, I went in for a surgery and while there, my ISP disconnected my home. This prevented me from using Vonage.     Vonage is the horrible company and they trick you so much with legal issues. They can charge as much as they can and they will do that all diplomatically. I have been using Vonage since 6 months and now they made some random agreement paper which they just said for few seconds on phone according to which I need to pay double the amount of money per month.     I just signed up for Vonage. I was hesitant because I wasn't sure it would be nice, clear service. It is the BEST. And the customer service is stellar. I finally switched to cable internet, so the time was right to add Vonage. They offered a special I just couldn't turn down.     Customer service is very poor. they are aggressive on taking orders, not clarifying customers doubts. will commit anything for getting order and after that no one seems to be responsable for that. money back guarantee is also fake. you need to spend more time in phone for that.     I have had Vonage for eleven months and up until about two months ago all was ok. Then, for no reason I have begun to have issues whereas people whom I call advise that that my voice is all choppy. I replaced my phones, cable box and router, but still the problem continues.     I signed up for Vonage in 2006, and am overall happy, since I have to have internet service anyway, and I also call Canada sometimes. I had an extra line at one point that I had to cancel and pay a ridiculous fee... but I'm sure it was in the fine print somewhere.     I have two Vonage lines. One for home and one for business. The features can't be matched by the local land lines or the cable digital phone providers. I call all over the world for business and my family lives in Canada so this technology saves us huge cash. I even switched to Time Warners digital phone for a bit, but the features Vonage offers just couldn't be matched.     I got the service and it never work. I called so that they can fixed the problem, they never answer and they never went to my house to check what was wrong.     I attempted to cancel my 1 year paid in advance phone service with Vonage. After being told that there was a $39.99 cancellation fee, I was also advised that they would not refund a penny of the over $200 refund I was entitled to.     Buyer Beware!! I've just canceled my Vonage service which I haven't used. I paid $50 for the activation fee that's after the "first month free" advertised back in Dec 2008.
